Description

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Unity Engine core technology.
  • Incorporate technical product expertise, customer feedback, market research, user feedback, and competitive analysis into product planning.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, design, documentation, and program management to define goals, user needs, and technical requirements.
  • Lead cross-team feature delivery by removing blockers and aligning priorities across engineering groups.
  • Prioritize features and improvements using data and feedback from external partners and the development community.
  • Collaborate with other product teams to improve cross-product integration and reduce redundant feature code.
  • Facilitate customer feedback loops to iteratively improve the product and increase customer value.
  • Perform hands-on testing and demos to validate requirements, verify deliveries, and showcase features to customers and partners.
  • Define and execute the roadmap for Unity Engine core technologies including scripting, CoreCLR, compilation, Burst, and Entities.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Unity, C#, Entities, Burst, and data-oriented design, or similar systems in another engine.
  • Solid understanding of computer architecture, memory behavior, and cache behavior.
  • Prior experience in video game development with Unity, Unreal, or proprietary game engines.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to engineers and senior executives.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong skills in roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and stakeholder management.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills to align teams around common goals and priorities.
  • Experience in systems programming, with expertise in C++, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SIMD programming is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% at peak times.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in English for frequent global collaboration.
