Description

  • Design and architect the iOS and Android mobile client for a greenfield consumer rewards application.
  • Make foundational decisions on the tech stack, state management, and overall app architecture.
  • Develop gamified UI/UX components such as daily streaks, dynamic offer walls, progress trackers, and real-time wallet balances.
  • Integrate the consumer app with Unity’s backend event pipelines and ML attribution models.
  • Architect on-device state management for virtual currencies, ledger updates, and offline/online synchronization.
  • Implement secure, tamper-proof event tracking to support anti-fraud and attribution efforts.
  • Work closely with ML and backend teams on event tracking and exploit prevention.
  • Mentor senior mobile engineers and establish code quality standards.
  • Define CI/CD and release pipelines for a high-frequency update cycle.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience building native mobile apps in Swift or Kotlin, or high-performance cross-platform apps in React Native or Flutter.
  • Experience building consumer mobile applications at scale.
  • Proven track record with apps that have high DAU/MAU and use gamification, loyalty, or fintech/wallet features.
  • Deep understanding of modern mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or VIPER.
  • Strong knowledge of memory management and performance profiling.
  • Experience handling complex asynchronous data streams and real-time websocket connections.
  • Experience building local persistence and offline-first mobile capabilities.
  • Strong focus on micro-interactions, animations, and polished UI/UX.
  • Previous experience at a consumer rewards company such as Mistplay, Fetch, Ibotta, or JustPlay, or at a consumer fintech app with heavy gamification, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with mobile attribution platforms such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Singular is preferred.
  • A passion for mobile gaming and an understanding of player retention is preferred.
  • Must have sufficient English proficiency for frequent professional verbal and written communication with global colleagues and partners.

  • Gross base salary of $227,900 to $340,000 USD.
