Description

  • Build and maintain the internal platform and tooling that support business scalability and engineering velocity.
  • Develop systems that help architecture, design, and renovation customers save time and grow through 3D capture.
  • Ensure the scalability and reliability of a distributed backend that processes a high volume of 3D scans each day.
  • Develop tools that help the internal operations team efficiently manage scan data.
  • Support other engineering teams by adopting modern DevOps practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with iOS, Computer Vision, Visualization & Tooling, Web, Infrastructure, and Data engineers, as well as other company functions.
  • Own projects end to end and use autonomy to identify creative solutions and deliver improvements.

Requirements

  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong background in Python, Django, and Django Rest Framework or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis.
  • Experience building or maintaining APIs in monolith or microservices architectures.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience working in Agile development practices or similar methods such as ShapeUp.
  • Comfort working with infrastructure and handling DevOps tasks when necessary.
  • Strong focus on testability and understanding of the test pyramid.
  • Preferred: Experience writing technical documents and gathering requirements.
  • Preferred: Experience setting up or managing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, GitLab, or similar tools.
  • Preferred: Experience with asynchronous communication technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Preferred: Frontend experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, or modern JavaScript frameworks.
