Description

  • Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities such as opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
  • Lead the technical and product sales process to help customers achieve success with Twilio’s APIs and solutions.
  • Run customer discovery to understand technical pain points and design innovative solutions that address business challenges.
  • Build and deliver interactive product demonstrations for technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Present technical architectures and guide customers on best-practice approaches.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and strengthen customer relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Identify and solve customer and internal problems proactively as the organization grows.
  • Contribute to the broader Presales Engineering team by sharing knowledge, creating reusable materials, and developing presentations.
  • Mentor less experienced Presales Engineers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of pre-sales experience selling complex technical products, or 10+ years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer-facing delivery or consulting experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to gain audience confidence.
  • Strong storytelling ability to explain complex topics to multiple audience levels.
  • Ability to understand customer communications needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Previous software development experience or working knowledge in backend development (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP), web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Vue.js, Angular), and REST APIs.
  • Previous experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security.
  • Experience with sales methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficient German speaker.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure and cloud application architecture (preferred).
  • Experience working with customers in the DACH region (preferred).
  • This role is remote and based in the UK.
  • Approximately 35% travel is anticipated.
