Description

  • Partner with Account Executives on strategic opportunities and lead complex technical client engagements.
  • Prototype and implement industrial AI agents that automate complex workflows using contextualized industrial data.
  • Design scalable architectures that unify IT, OT, and engineering data through Cognite Data Fusion.
  • Lead use-case workshops, requirements discussions, executive briefings, and client demonstrations.
  • Build end-to-end prototypes integrating generative AI, data models, and legacy customer systems.
  • Translate field feedback and deployment lessons into product requirements and reusable best practices.
  • Develop reference architectures that demonstrate the business value and ROI of Industrial AI.
  • Serve as a technical bridge between Cognite’s field teams and Product organization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in forward-deployed engineering or pre-sales engineering, preferably in enterprise SaaS, cloud platforms, or industrial software.
  • Strong engineering background; relevant fields include Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Machine Learning.
  • Strong Python foundation and understanding of generative AI concepts such as embeddings, RAG, and prompt chaining.
  • Experience building with LLMs such as Gemini, Claude, or GPT-4 and understanding of agentic AI.
  • Ability to build full-stack prototypes using scalable software practices and open-source AI frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and technical presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate with both engineering teams and C-level executives.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Industrial education or experience in areas such as petroleum, chemical, mechanical, or control systems engineering (preferred).
  • Customer-facing or sales experience and familiarity with complex industrial data environments (preferred).
