Description

  • Work with account executives, solutions engineers, professional services, and partners to plan and execute the pre-sales process.
  • Build business partnerships with account executives and communicate the business value of Twilio solutions.
  • Participate in qualification, discovery, demos, proof-of-concept work, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
  • Develop deep subject matter expertise in customer needs and Twilio communications technology.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover customer needs and challenges.
  • Create and present complex product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Understand customer businesses, solve identified problems, and uncover new opportunities.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with senior customer stakeholders and propose creative architectures and solutions.
  • Contribute to the solutions engineering community by sharing knowledge and building reusable demo assets and presentations.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role in CPaaS, SaaS, or telecom.
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle and the role of a pre-sales engineer.
  • Knowledge of voice protocols, including VoIP, SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to ask strong discovery questions and guide customers to technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure and cloud application architectures.
  • Experience writing code in backend languages such as Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP, and/or in web technologies such as JavaScript or React.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Hands-on backend development experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with mobile development, especially iOS and Android, is preferred.
  • Previous technical experience in telecommunications, SIP, WebRTC, or contact centres is preferred.
  • Experience with automation, cloud-native development, and a major cloud platform is preferred.
  • Experience with sales methodologies is preferred.
  • Must be based remotely in the UK or Ireland.
  • Approximately 35% travel is required.
