Description

  • Lead technical qualification for assigned accounts throughout the sales cycle.
  • Design and architect solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Drive proof-of-concept projects and technical validation to advance deals.
  • Partner with Account Executives on deal strategy and technical positioning.
  • Train and enable channel partners to build their technical capabilities.
  • Develop competitive positioning to win against alternative vendors.
  • Own technical win rate and contribute to territory revenue results.
  • Represent Extreme Networks in customer presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions.
  • Use Wi-Fi planning and testing tools such as Ekahau, AirMagnet, and NetScout.
  • Mentor junior Systems Engineers and share field expertise.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in networking or pre-sales engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience independently designing solutions for mid-complexity, multi-product environments.
  • Track record of owning technical outcomes and influencing territory revenue.
  • Strong knowledge in at least two areas including NAC/RADIUS/802.1X, Active Directory/LDAP, network security, cloud technologies, wireless/SDN/SaaS, IPv4/IPv6 routing, or Layer 2 switching.
  • Excellent consultative, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Preferred certifications include Extreme Professional, CCNP, CWNA, or equivalent.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and travel within the assigned territory as needed.
