Description

  • Partner with product, UX, and technical stakeholders to translate business problems into measurable ML problem statements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, enterprise-grade machine learning solutions in production.
  • Build reproducible ML workflows for data preparation, training, evaluation, and inference using orchestration and MLOps tooling.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to improve data quality, model performance, latency, and cost.
  • Collaborate with Product, Data Science/ML, Engineering, and Security to deliver resilient, compliant ML-powered services.
  • Own operational excellence, including SLAs, on-call support, incident response, customer feedback triage, and blameless post-mortems.
  • Drive engineering excellence through AI-assisted SDLC, code reviews, automated testing, MLOps best practices, knowledge-sharing, and mentoring.
  • Apply end-to-end systems thinking and explain design decisions clearly to cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in machine learning and AI, including statistics, probability, and optimization.
  • 5+ years of experience building, deploying, and operating data and ML systems in production.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL, with strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration and data pipelines such as Airflow or Kubeflow.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and storage such as SageMaker Feature Store, Snowflake, DynamoDB, or OpenSearch.
  • Experience across the ML lifecycle and MLOps tooling such as MLflow, Metaflow, SageMaker, LangChain, LangGraph, or model observability tools like Galileo.
  • Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps/CI/CD tools such as Argo CD, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Understanding of scalable systems, distributed computing, and streaming frameworks such as Spark/EMR, Flink, or Kafka Streams; GPU implementation experience is a plus.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly in new application or business domains.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with recommendation systems, time-series modeling, representation learning, anomaly detection, or causal inference is desired.
  • Practical experience with LLMs and generative AI workflows, including fine-tuning, RAG, and vector databases is desired.
  • Technical leadership experience, such as open-source contributions or published technical content, is desired.
  • Domain experience in communications, marketing automation, or customer engagement analytics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot/Codex, or Cursor is desired.
  • Advanced degree, such as an M.S. or Ph.D., is preferred.
