Description

  • Manage and grow customer accounts across Twilio.org’s self-service and named nonprofit accounts.
  • Qualify leads, acquire new customers, and close deals within the nonprofit segment.
  • Understand customer business and technical requirements and design solutions using Twilio’s communications API platform.
  • Manage full sales cycles, own a book of business, and drive new revenue, retention, upsells, and cross-sells.
  • Execute programmable sales plays to deliver revenue, gross margin, and gross profit results.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Sales Development, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Support to support renewals and customer onboarding.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast in Salesforce.
  • Use automation strategies to support a high volume of customers while maintaining NPS and reducing churn.
  • Drive deals forward, remove obstacles, and recommend process improvements.
  • Develop market expertise in social impact and nonprofit use cases to educate prospective customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales, marketing, and/or operations experience in a technical SaaS/CPaaS environment with a record of top performance.
  • Technical solutions selling experience, including closing experience.
  • Experience managing business forecasts and financial models.
  • Ability to work with both business and highly technical leaders and build trusted partnerships.
  • Analytical account development approach that uses data to identify opportunities and demonstrate value.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to define processes and build programs.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering revenue and gross profit results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical and financial details simply.
  • High adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and changing environment.
  • Deep personal interest in the social impact market and a desire to make a positive difference.
  • Strong process orientation and world-class organization, prioritization, and documentation skills.
  • Remote role not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, or WA.
  • Occasional travel may be required for project or team in-person meetings.
