Description

  • Provide technical vision, execution, and direction for AWS client projects.
  • Lead discovery and sprint planning with project managers and client product owners after receiving statements of work and rough requirements.
  • Make final technical decisions on projects and handle technical conflict constructively.
  • Build systems and create CloudFormation and serverless templates to deploy AWS resources.
  • Work in Jira with the team to track and resolve issues.
  • Support and mentor junior developers in both code and team collaboration.
  • Participate in morning meetings with internal teams and clients.
  • Stay current on AWS services, tools, and development best practices to address project needs.
  • Contribute to internal best practice documentation.
  • Help improve delivery speed, quality, and performance across the practice.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of development experience, with recent focus on Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Expert knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture.
  • Experience with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, Redshift, and VPC/network configurations.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to understand problems before proposing solutions.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new AWS services, tools, and languages quickly.
  • Preference for candidates who are passionate about technology and current development best practices.
  • Remote role based in the United States.
