Description

  • Provide technical leadership across architecture and system design, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Lead development and enhancement of AI-powered applications and platforms for performance and configurability.
  • Design data and retrieval architectures that provide AI agents context across diverse healthcare sources.
  • Design, review, and own production code while contributing hands-on with the team.
  • Lead releases, production deployments, and on-call support improvements.
  • Drive non-functional requirements such as observability, instrumentation, performance, operational readiness, security, and privacy compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with ML/DS teams, product teams, and architects to align systems with business needs.
  • Participate in sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives to improve team efficiency and delivery.
  • Shape engineering standards and communicate technical strategy across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in the software development lifecycle, with progression to complex cloud-native system design.
  • Expertise in auth/authz frameworks, secure API design, access control, and automated testing.
  • Strong system design, observability, and production operations skills.
  • Full-stack experience with modern languages, event-driven systems, and CI/CD; infrastructure as code is a plus.
  • Experience designing data systems and pipelines for analytical and AI workloads, with strong data modeling fundamentals.
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers, shape engineering standards, and communicate effectively across audiences.
  • Experience with AI architectures such as multi-agent systems, RAG, and evaluation frameworks is a plus.
  • Healthcare tech, health plan, or payment integrity experience is a plus; healthcare interoperability standards and clinical ontologies are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
