Description

  • Develop and maintain city-specific transit data pipelines and update them using basic programming skills.
  • Create transit data modeling policies based on local market needs and regulations.
  • Apply mapping policies to local transit, traffic laws, landmarks, and other key mapping features.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve transit data gaps, inaccuracies, systematic issues, and broken user journeys.
  • Edit and validate transit data, including static data and GTFS mappings, in the data management platform.
  • Conduct in-city field research to establish ground truth for transit issues and user problems.
  • Consult on urban transit, multimodal transportation, micro-mobility, and walking projects.
  • Serve as the country or regional point of contact for mapping operations, internal teams, partners, and external companies.
  • Analyze local transit features and market comparisons to inform product, partnership, and platform improvements.
  • Monitor city data for outages, develop alerting capabilities, and provide on-call support for data outages.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written and spoken English and native local-language communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of local city or country transit and traffic networks, or urban planning.
  • Basic data analytics and technical writing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of transit data formats, especially GTFS (preferred).
  • Knowledge of GIS mapping tools (preferred).
  • Basic programming knowledge in Java, C#, C++, or Python (preferred).
