Description

Execute test plans and test cases as directed by senior Quality Engineering team members.
Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across Web, API, and Data components as applicable.
Identify, document, and track defects in the bug tracking system with clear reproduction steps and impact.
Create and maintain test data needed for test execution.
Troubleshoot issues by reproducing defects, gathering logs, and validating fixes.
Contribute to basic manual and automated test scripts under guidance.
Participate in team meetings and provide status updates on assigned tasks.
Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members to unblock issues and escalate when needed.
Learn and follow established QE standards, processes, Agile/Scrum practices, and best practices.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
1–2 years of relevant experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related technical role, including internships, co-ops, or academic projects.
Basic understanding of software development lifecycles and testing methodologies such as functional, regression, and integration testing.
Familiarity with testing concepts and terminology such as test cases, test data, defects, severity, and priority.
Basic proficiency with operating systems and common software applications.
Exposure to bug tracking systems such as Jira.
Academic or practical exposure to scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java for basic test scripting or automation.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and working with user stories.
Experience with test management tools such as Xray or TestRail is a plus.
Experience using AI-powered tools for code completion, documentation search, or generating test ideas is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly describe issues and test results.
Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, learn new tools and processes, and complete assigned tasks with supervision.
Interest in and willingness to use GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or AI test generators to assist with scripting, test design, and information discovery.
