Description

  • Own P1/P2 critical incident response, including rapid acknowledgement, resolution coordination, and post-mortem follow-up.
  • Perform code-level investigation, debugging, and hotfixes for high-complexity production issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring and complex incidents.
  • Support AI-driven and automated workflows through production log analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Lead daily support operations, including ticket triage, assignment, and escalation management.
  • Participate in Change Advisory Board meetings, release planning, and post-deployment validation.
  • Coordinate knowledge transfer from incumbent vendors and maintain the quality of the team knowledge base.
  • Mentor Java, DevOps, and L1 support engineers to improve technical execution.
  • Manage weekend release activities and cross-team coordination several times per year.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point and most senior operational figure on the support team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in application support or software engineering with heavy support responsibility.
  • Prior experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer in managed services is highly preferred.
  • Ability to make critical decisions independently under pressure during production outages.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and well-organized approach to incident management.
  • Fluent English is required for tickets, escalations, and global communication.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, including Spring Boot, JBoss/WildFly, and Java 6–17.
  • Experience with Oracle 11g and MS SQL Server, including query writing, execution plan analysis, and stored procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with CI/CD and container tooling such as GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Datadog for dashboards, alert configuration, and log correlation.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management workflows.
