Description

  • Partner with clients to design, build, and enhance modern cloud-native applications and platform services.
  • Develop backend services and RESTful APIs for production environments.
  • Build full-stack applications with modern frontend frameworks and maintain user-facing experiences.
  • Design and manage relational databases, including schemas, migrations, and performance optimization.
  • Implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, including serverless and container-based architectures.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and source control workflows with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • Design and maintain automated testing strategies across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
  • Improve observability, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting for distributed production systems.
  • Collaborate in agile environments using pair programming, code reviews, and iterative delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and supporting production software applications.
  • Strong experience developing backend services using Node.js and/or Python.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs in production environments.
  • Full-stack development experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, or similar technologies.
  • Experience designing database schemas, implementing migrations, and optimizing application performance.
  • Hands-on experience building and supporting cloud-native solutions within AWS.
  • Experience with serverless and container-based architectures, including AWS Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, Cognito, SNS, SES, and related cloud services.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD practices, automated deployments, and modern source control workflows using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience designing and maintaining automated testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Familiarity with observability, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting distributed applications in production environments.
  • Experience building secure, scalable applications with knowledge of authentication, authorization, secrets management, and cloud security best practices.
  • Interest in AI-assisted software development and experience using tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, AI SDKs, or automated code review tooling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must reside within the United States.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Experience within financial services, insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries (preferred).
  • Experience implementing complex business rules, calculation engines, or financial processing systems (preferred).
  • Experience developing reusable Terraform modules and multi-environment deployment patterns (preferred).
  • Experience working with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or real-time application patterns (preferred).
  • Experience building internal developer tooling, AI-powered workflows, or engineering productivity solutions (preferred).
