Description

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients and move them through the sales process.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, articulate Toptal’s value proposition, and manage deal cycles from discovery to close.
  • Research prospective clients, stay current on industry trends, and understand competitors to build rapport and tailor outreach.
  • Provide a customer-centric experience during scheduled working hours and respond to client needs and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with team members via Zoom and Slack to handle high-volume inbound requests and maintain clear communication.
  • Use feedback to improve individual and team performance and apply sales best practices in client interactions and follow-up.
  • Work with cross-functional business units to ensure prospects progress through the funnel and new business is closed.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and share recommendations to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentor new team members over time and help them learn Toptal’s model and standard methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 1-3 years of B2B sales experience in roles such as Account Executive, Inside Sales, Outside Sales Representative, Account Representative, or similar.
  • Software or tech-related sales experience and education are a plus.
  • Must be fully available during working hours to take client calls.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company and manage a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and contacts.
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to manage a high volume of clients.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and self-manage workflows and deadlines.
  • No visa sponsorship or assistance is offered; resumes and communication must be submitted in English.
