Description

  • Own the growth, retention, and success of a portfolio of SMB accounts as the primary point of contact.
  • Develop and execute proactive account plans aligned to client business goals and expansion opportunities.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins to assess account health, gather feedback, and uncover new business needs.
  • Identify and qualify expansion opportunities across departments and business units, including upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Recommend appropriate Toptal talent solutions and project scopes based on client objectives and bottlenecks.
  • Run targeted outreach and engagement campaigns, including Salesloft cadences, to educate clients on Toptal offerings.
  • Guide clients through the full project lifecycle and ensure a seamless experience for both clients and talent.
  • Partner with Talent Operations and Delivery to resolve escalations, manage renewals, and support successful engagements.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records, pipeline data, contact management, and account activity tracking.
  • Monitor industry trends, platform data, and demand signals to proactively surface new opportunities and best-practice recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in account management.
  • Demonstrated history of overachieving revenue-based quotas.
  • 1+ years of experience in software consulting or tech sales.
  • Experience navigating the software project management life cycle.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into strategic solutions and actionable project scopes.
  • Strong client-centric mindset with a focus on relationship building and client success.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and able to anticipate client needs and roadblocks.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of hire; no visa sponsorship or assistance provided.
  • Resumes and communication must be submitted in English.
  • Up to 25% travel required for client-facing meetings and events.
