Description

  • Serve as a senior strategic partner to client stakeholders and guide long-term account strategy.
  • Lead portfolio-level planning across multiple accounts and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Oversee integrated account planning, forecasting, and execution across a defined portfolio.
  • Ensure operational rigor, quality, and consistency while proactively identifying and resolving risks.
  • Partner with Medical, Scientific, PM, and Finance leaders to deliver compliant, high-impact client solutions.
  • Support and advance the Publications Center of Excellence by driving priority initiatives and adoption of standards, tools, and processes.
  • Strengthen the role of publications within medical affairs and help integrate publications into broader medical affairs engagements.
  • Own financial health across accounts, including forecasting accuracy, margin management, and staffing alignment.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop senior account leaders while supporting performance management and succession planning.
  • Identify organic growth opportunities, support new business efforts, and contribute to pitches and proposals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in medical communications with deep publications experience in an agency setting.
  • Proven leadership across publications and medical affairs accounts from strategy through execution.
  • Strong understanding of the scientific communications lifecycle, including congress and data dissemination.
  • Experience managing multiple accounts or a small portfolio with full ownership of delivery and performance.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with medical, scientific, and commercial teams.
  • Financial and operational acumen, including experience with team leadership, growth support, and account expansion.
  • Experience coaching senior leaders on strategic thinking, client leadership, financial acumen, and people management.
  • Understanding of publication strategy and its role within medical affairs.
  • Ability to work in a senior client leadership role that balances strategy and operational execution.
  • Experience supporting business development, pitch leadership, or proposal development is preferred.
