Description

  • Work closely with colleagues to design and build solutions for customer problems.
  • Make changes to the codebase and ship them to production quickly.
  • Write and review high-quality, well-tested code to keep the product stable.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the codebase and team processes.
  • Own features and fixes from implementation through production and customer feedback.
  • Share knowledge with teammates through code reviews, pairing, and team discussions.
  • Contribute to product features across the stack, including backend and UI work.
  • Help deliver features such as audit log export, authentication settings improvements, and credential extensibility.
  • Improve observability and debugging tools for authentication and authorization issues.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams on more granular role-based access control.

Requirements

  • Roughly 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Direct experience building and delivering software using a high-level programming language.
  • Comfort working on a small command-line app as part of the interview process.
  • Ability to use a programming language you are comfortable with for the coding exercise.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies, including Ruby and TypeScript.
  • Broad interest in working across the stack, especially infrastructure and backend frameworks.
  • Familiarity with simple, common tools such as Ruby, Rails, React, TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, and AWS is preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to pitch in wherever needed and collaborate closely with teammates.
  • Commitment to working reasonable hours and avoiding burnout.
  • Strong interpersonal approach and respect for an inclusive, supportive team environment.
