Description

  • Build and operate product features across the user journey from marketing site to onboarding and activation.
  • Implement self-serve payments and subscription lifecycle management through Stripe, including plans, trials, upgrades, downgrades, and invoicing.
  • Contribute to product-led growth initiatives such as virality, collaboration, and sharing.
  • Help implement pricing and packaging strategies.
  • Design and run experiments to improve conversion, expansion, and retention.
  • Write, review, and maintain high-quality, well-tested code for a stable production system.
  • Collaborate closely with design and product teams to shape product solutions.
  • Take full ownership of software from development through production and respond to customer feedback to improve it.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the codebase and team processes.
  • Mentor other engineers and help guide roadmap priorities.

Requirements

  • Roughly 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven record as a senior engineer.
  • Direct experience building and delivering software using a high-level programming language.
  • Comfort working on a small command-line app in a technical exercise.
  • Ability to work broadly across the stack, with a focus on user acquisition and monetization.
  • Willingness to pitch in wherever needed and learn new areas as required.
  • Familiarity with common tools and technologies such as Ruby, Rails, React, TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, and Docker is preferred, though not required.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies, especially Ruby and TypeScript.
  • Ability to work healthily and sustainably in a collaborative team environment.
  • Cybersecurity knowledge is not required.
  • Education and prior employers are not important as long as foundational skills and knowledge are demonstrated.
