Description

  • Debug business-impacting issues across complex application systems.
  • Use incident management processes, tools, and monitoring metrics to generate reports and take corrective actions.
  • Apply logging techniques to support alerting, monitoring, and root-cause analysis of incidents.
  • Follow standards and best practices to improve system stability, availability, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead planning and execution of system upgrades, migrations, and maintenance with minimal downtime.
  • Use continuous delivery practices to support high-quality software and deliver value early.
  • Deploy and run software using DevOps tools and practices.
  • Mentor less-experienced team members through technical guidance and leadership.
  • Apply current technology thinking to solve client problems.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify issues proactively and improve system performance.

Requirements

  • Experience with Java and front-end React frameworks.
  • Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Experience with relational or non-relational databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Buildkite, or Azure Pipelines.
  • Strong debugging and triaging skills to troubleshoot code effectively.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, well-tested bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Ability to perform system performance analysis and implement optimization strategies.
  • High-level understanding of architectures including monolithic, N-tier, layered, microservices, and serverless.
  • Good communication and articulation skills.
  • Presence in the external tech community through speaking, open source, blogs, or similar contributions.
  • Comfort with Agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Willingness to participate in a rotation- and need-based 24x7 team and handle multiple engagements.
  • Experience influencing clients on incident management, support levels, and scope of work.
  • Advocacy for cloud best practices and security best practices.
