Description

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new DoD and DoE manufacturing opportunities across a live pipeline of 20+ target facilities.
  • Engage program managers, operations directors, facility leads, and contracting officers early in the acquisition lifecycle to shape requirements and position the company before solicitation.
  • Own business development and account growth across the existing defense customer base to drive upsell, expansion, and net retention.
  • Work with the Capture Manager to move qualified opportunities from discovery to contract and execute the capture playbook in the field.
  • Map opportunities to the right acquisition pathways using contract vehicles such as GSA, IDIQ/BPA, and set-aside lanes.
  • Use strategic partnerships as a credentialing asset to open doors and differentiate the company in competitive engagements.
  • Feed market intelligence back to leadership to refine the ideal customer profile and messaging.
  • Collaborate with capture teams on win strategy, competitive analysis, teaming structure, and proposals.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of federal business development or account management experience in DoD or DoE environments.
  • Direct exposure to manufacturing, depot operations, MRO, or defense industrial base environments.
  • Relationships with, or a proven ability to quickly build relationships across, DoD/DoE manufacturing, depot, arsenal, and R&D sites.
  • Fluency in federal acquisition, including FAR/DFARS, IDIQ/BPA structures, GSA schedule, and set-aside vehicles.
  • Enough technical depth to credibly discuss digital work execution, asset/calibration management, equipment reliability, and air-gapped manufacturing constraints.
  • A hunter-style approach to pipeline building, qualification, and opportunity assessment.
  • Experience collaborating with capture teams on win strategy, competitive analysis, teaming structure, and proposals.
  • Active Secret clearance preferred; TS/SCI preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Comfort working in an early-growth, mission-driven environment where processes are still being built.
