Description

  • Own the end-to-end customer lifecycle strategy from onboarding and education through engagement, monetization, retention, and winback.
  • Lead retention and engagement strategy by defining and executing the lifecycle roadmap aligned to company and marketing OKRs.
  • Translate customer insights and behavioral data into measurable programs that drive long-term value.
  • Redesign onboarding and the early customer experience to improve clarity, trust, and early habit formation.
  • Identify early behaviors tied to long-term retention and build programs to drive them.
  • Reduce early churn through proactive education and expectation setting.
  • Develop and scale segmentation, targeting, and personalization programs across lifecycle stages and cohorts.
  • Create and own a disciplined lifecycle experimentation roadmap and measure incremental impact.
  • Oversee lifecycle platform architecture and reporting in partnership with Marketing Operations.
  • Lead channel strategy across email, push, and in-app messaging, including frequency and targeting standards.

Requirements

  • 10 to 12+ years of progressive experience in lifecycle, CRM, retention, or growth marketing.
  • Meaningful ownership of company-level retention and revenue outcomes.
  • Experience building and scaling lifecycle strategy in a high-growth, consumer, subscription, or app-first business.
  • Proven track record of improving activation, engagement, retention, and lifetime value at scale.
  • Deep expertise in segmentation, behavioral targeting, experimentation design, and incremental measurement.
  • Strong analytical skills with command of cohort analysis, performance modeling, and customer behavior insights.
  • Experience with lifecycle infrastructure and platform architecture such as Braze or similar tools.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership ability to influence Product, Analytics, Creative, and Performance teams.
  • Experience building high-performing, accountable teams with clear standards and operational discipline.
  • Comfort operating with executive visibility and accountability in a fast-scaling environment.

  • Salary range of $154,000 - $220,000 CAD, with U.S. ranges also listed by location.
