Description

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve annual revenue targets across the Americas.
  • Own the Americas business performance, including forecasting, reporting, and progress against targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the biopharma value chain.
  • Lead complex sales cycles and close enterprise deals with multiple stakeholders.
  • Deliver presentations to audiences spanning R&D IT, informatics, scientists, data scientists, and executive leaders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional support from Legal, Engineering, Marketing, and Product to advance deals and go-to-market efforts.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers to drive satisfaction and retention.
  • Build, lead, and coach a high-performing team of account executives.
  • Set clear team goals, inspect performance, and direct day-to-day activities.
  • Use analytical thinking and data to generate insights and inform sales execution.

Requirements

  • 10+ years selling into the life sciences R&D software and data market.
  • 3-5 years of sales management experience, such as Regional or District Manager.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders, including VPs and above, in scientific and IT functions.
  • Hands-on experience leading account executives while remaining actively involved in deals.
  • Experience working in startup environments.
  • Experience selling to and leading teams serving Top 100 Pharma companies, not biotech.
  • Proven success selling large, complex enterprise deals ranging from millions to tens of millions in ARR per deal.
  • Demonstrated history of building teams that meet quota consistently, quarter after quarter.
  • Evidence of partnering with product marketing to grow the business.
  • Experience expanding accounts through persistent, cross-functional engagement.
  • Strong leadership skills in difficult periods and a team-first mindset.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where the team wins together.
