Description

  • Conduct dealership performance assessments using the Dealer Maturity Model to identify current tier status and blockers to advancement.
  • Own tier advancement plans by translating diagnostic findings into prioritized roadmaps with milestones and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with Customer Value Managers to incorporate diagnostic insights into Customer Value Plans and Value Review discussions.
  • Identify and interpret industry metrics as evidence of value realization.
  • Use structured discovery to diagnose customer needs before recommending solutions.
  • Translate platform data and adoption gaps into dealer business language for principals, GMs, and department managers.
  • Facilitate high-stakes conversations such as value reviews, workflow redesign sessions, and change management discussions.
  • Maintain deep mastery of the Tekion platform across relevant modules.
  • Serve as the escalation resource for complex product questions that exceed Customer Value Manager depth.
  • Design and deliver scalable enablement programs such as cohort sessions, virtual clinics, and workflow deep dives.
  • Contribute to CVA playbook development by turning field patterns into repeatable methodologies.

Requirements

  • Direct experience in automotive dealership operations as a GM, controller, department manager, or equivalent role.
  • Experience owning outcomes across multiple dealership functions.
  • Demonstrated credibility with dealership operators based on deep operational knowledge.
  • Fluency with DMS platforms and dealership technology.
  • Ability to recognize common dealership tools and documents, such as desking tools and deal jackets, without training.
  • Structured consulting or advisory experience with the ability to diagnose situations, build recommendations, and guide stakeholders to action.
  • Prior experience with Tekion or a comparable DMS at an administrative or power-user level preferred.
  • Experience in customer success, consulting, or enablement within a SaaS or automotive technology environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of Tekion ARC preferred, with variable operations knowledge preferred and fixed operations knowledge secondary.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Sigma, or Power BI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Automotive Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent dealership operations experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Strong executive presence when working with top-level dealer executives.
