Description

  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of functional, regression, integration, security, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for web applications, APIs, databases, and system integrations.
  • Create and maintain manual test cases and test procedures for scenarios requiring human validation.
  • Develop reusable automated testing frameworks to improve efficiency and release quality.
  • Manage the full defect lifecycle, including identification, documentation, prioritization, verification, and closure.
  • Provide testing status updates, metrics, and quality reports to government and program leadership.
  • Support RMF activities by producing testing evidence, security validation documentation, and accreditation artifacts.
  • Validate compliance with WCAG and ensure accessibility defects are identified and resolved.
  • Verify security scan results, validate false positives, and ensure vulnerabilities are remediated or documented.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams on test strategies, acceptance criteria, quality objectives, sprint planning, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or test engineering in DoD, federal, or large enterprise environments.
  • Experience leading both manual and automated software testing efforts.
  • Proficiency with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with API testing, database testing, and test automation development.
  • Experience managing software defect tracking and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) testing evidence requirements and security assessment reporting.
  • Experience using accessibility testing tools and validating compliance with WCAG standards.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and SDLC processes.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent software testing certification, preferred.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Air Force or other Department of Defense software modernization programs, preferred.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar platforms, preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD-integrated automated testing, preferred.
  • Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps pipelines, preferred.
  • Experience validating STIG compliance and security testing results, preferred.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and continuous quality engineering methodologies, preferred.
