Description

  • Plan and execute simulation test campaigns for autonomous vehicle verification and validation.
  • Collaborate with Product, Systems, and Safety teams to develop simulation validation strategies.
  • Maintain and improve Torc’s scenario library across abstract, logical, and concrete scenarios.
  • Identify testing gaps and define requirements for improved tools, simulation environments, and test frameworks.
  • Coordinate with internal tools teams and external vendors to evolve simulation and virtual testing toolchains.
  • Analyze and triage simulation results, developing dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
  • Support Torc’s development and integration teams with simulation testing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or an equivalent engineering field with 6+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience with virtual testing and simulation of perception and autonomous vehicle behavior.
  • Experience developing scenarios compliant with the ASM OpenSCENARIO standard, particularly abstract or logical scenarios.
  • Experience developing test cases and test procedures.
  • Experience scripting in YAML and using Python for data analysis.
  • Experience with system-level troubleshooting, fault isolation, and problem identification.
  • Proficiency in Linux and working knowledge of probability and linear algebra.
  • Familiarity with current autonomous vehicle validation approaches and stakeholder reporting.
  • Automotive or comparable test and validation experience preferred.
  • Experience with sensor, traffic vehicle, or vehicle dynamics models; ROS experience and mentoring ability preferred.

Benefits

  • US hiring range of $153,200–$183,800.
