Description

  • Develop complex Java code across both monolithic and microservices architectures.
  • Work on backend applications that support business-critical and complex software systems.
  • Estimate development effort for projects and help define the development strategy.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and QAs in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Use test-driven development to deliver Java projects built with Spring MVC/Boot, Thymeleaf, RESTful services, MongoDB, MySQL, JUnit, and related tools.
  • Produce clean, well-documented code.
  • Recommend development approaches that address critical business requirements.
  • Support delivery of a wide range of web-based projects, including mobile and web applications.
  • Work within a cross-functional product-style team on projects ranging from large brand websites to marketing microsites.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable Java development experience.
  • Experience working with both monolithic and microservices architecture.
  • Proven ability to deliver multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development.
  • Strong understanding of software development practices, processes, and theories, especially Agile development principles.
  • Experience with at least one MVC web development framework, preferably Spring MVC.
  • Experience with GIT.
  • Hands-on software delivery background.
  • Passion for Java and technology.
  • Experience with Spring MVC/Boot, Thymeleaf, RESTful services, MongoDB, MySQL, and JUnit is expected.
  • Experience working in a product-style, cross-functional Agile Scrum team is preferred.
