Description

  • Design, build, test, and document core software components as part of the engineering team.
  • Support internal business units by creating shared engineering services, tools, and processes that help those teams succeed.
  • Own end-to-end projects by building relationships with stakeholders across the organization and understanding their needs.
  • Work directly with internal customer-facing teams to improve their day-to-day workflows and support their mission.
  • Partner with product engineering to extract data needed to drive business decisions.
  • Improve observability through metrics, alerting, logging, and telemetry integration.
  • Identify and build improvements for continuous deployment and automated service upgrades.
  • Use infrastructure as code to make changes in cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams on cross-functional infrastructure improvements.
  • Support running services by participating in incident response and handling customer support escalations.

Requirements

  • Experience with CI/CD, secrets management, infrastructure as code, and observability.
  • Experience with distributed systems.
  • Experience operating managed services in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
  • Experience operating Kubernetes in production is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with networks, including IP addressing and routing.
  • Experience with Go is a plus.
  • Ability to give and process constructive feedback and work independently.
  • Flexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of a startup.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
