Description

  • Own pre-submission, submission, and post-submission workflows for revenue cycle operations.
  • Identify and implement improvements in billing operations that support profitability goals.
  • Lead projects that scale manual, error-prone RCM processes and accelerate cash collections.
  • Build new initiatives from the ground up, including international expansion pricing, billing, and cash collection processes.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI to reduce manual work and improve cash-collection efforts.
  • Partner with Intelligence, Data, and Product teams to build quarterly roadmaps aligned with company goals.
  • Work with Customer Success and Partner Success on pricing, billing, and payment-related items.
  • Develop self-serve dashboards that reduce manual data manipulation for Commercial teams.
  • Support setup of new payment structures as the company expands into additional solutions.
  • Streamline monthly activities related to reducing time to cash, managing denials, and troubleshooting rejections.
  • Collaborate with Product on scaling the home-grown billing tool and with Data on validating financial metric dashboards.
  • Work with Accounting on month-end close activities such as revenue recognition and payment reconciliation.
  • Represent Sword in external billing discussions with clients, payers, and health plans as the reimbursement subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • 1.5–2 years of experience in a startup or management consulting.
  • Background in healthcare and/or experience in health tech.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with different teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and solve problems effectively.
  • Undergraduate college degree.
  • Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) knowledge preferred.
  • Startup experience preferred.
  • Experience in management consulting preferred.
  • AI fluency with at least Level 1: using AI daily to boost personal productivity.
