Description

  • Own pre-submission, submission, and post-submission revenue cycle workflows, including billing, claims, denials, underpayments, reconciliation, and A/R follow-up.
  • Resolve complex billing issues and implement processes, SOPs, and service-level standards.
  • Analyze denial trends and payer behavior to drive durable operational improvements.
  • Report on RCM performance metrics, including collection rate, A/R days, denial rates, write-offs, and yield.
  • Identify and implement AI, automation, and self-service reporting opportunities.
  • Partner with Accounting and FP&A on month-end close activities.
  • Support billing system migrations and implementations through requirements, configuration, testing, and cutover.
  • Collaborate with Product, Data, Commercial, Customer Success, and Partner Success on billing, pricing, payment, and roadmap initiatives.
  • Mentor and train Analysts and Associates, with potential future responsibility for a small team.
  • Represent Sword as a behavioral health reimbursement subject matter expert and support audits and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • At least 3.5 years of hands-on Revenue Cycle Management experience.
  • Direct experience billing mental and behavioral health services, including EAP billing, reauthorization, session-based benefits, prior authorizations, and mental health payer requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of the full medical claims lifecycle, payer rules, and A/R management.
  • Experience independently managing projects from initiation through execution.
  • Startup or high-growth company experience.
  • Experience using data and reporting to improve operational performance.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate college degree.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, stakeholder influence, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: behavioral health, telehealth, digital health, RPA or RCM automation, billing system implementation, Medicare/CMS, delegated credentialing, payer contracting, or mentoring experience; AI proficiency at least at Explorer Level 1.

Benefits

  • Total compensation range of $108,500–$170,500 USD, including base, variable compensation, and equity value where applicable.
  • Private company stock options may be included in total compensation.
