Description

  • Analyze problems and deliver pragmatic solutions to real-world engineering and business challenges.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and own end-to-end execution of platform and reliability initiatives.
  • Create, design, develop, and operate the shared infrastructure platform.
  • Continuously improve developer experience by simplifying workflows and automating processes.
  • Train, coach, and support software engineers on DevOps and SRE practices.
  • Promote a “you build it, you run it” operating model at scale.
  • Manage platform security, compliance, and cost control.
  • Understand business needs to provide relevant solutions for users and clients.
  • Stay current on new technologies and architectures and assess their potential use at Swile.
  • Review code and provide constructive feedback, while mentoring teammates and supporting technical growth.

Requirements

  • Significant site reliability engineering experience.
  • Ability to value and apply code simplicity, quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
  • Experience designing pragmatic, simple architectures that solve problems at scale.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong problem-analysis and judgment skills.
  • Ability to understand both user/client needs and the underlying codebase.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and functional areas.
  • Experience from entrepreneurial backgrounds or established organizations is welcome.
  • Familiarity with the listed tech stack is not required, but experience with technologies such as Ruby/Rails, TypeScript/React/Node.js, Android/Kotlin, iOS/Swift, Java, Golang, Python, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Snowflake, GitHub, and Datadog may be relevant.
