Description

  • Define customer strategy as a key member of platform account teams, identifying complex opportunities and accelerating solution adoption.
  • Build trusted relationships with C-level executives and technical decision-makers while providing business and technical thought leadership.
  • Understand customer objectives and design Stripe solutions, transformation journeys, roadmaps, and architectures involving third-party integrations.
  • Lead strategy engagements through customer discovery, executive briefings, presentations, readouts, and solution demonstrations.
  • Conduct business, industry, competitor, and customer research to inform account strategies.
  • Expand Stripe adoption across existing accounts, global markets, and business units through new capabilities and local payment methods.
  • Represent customer insights, trends, and opportunities to Stripe leadership, product, and engineering teams.
  • Participate in sales forecasting, Quarterly Business Reviews, account planning, and territory planning.
  • Provide technical expertise on Stripe’s platform, benefits, capabilities, and potential customizations to prospective and existing users.
  • Manage pre-sales projects, including proof-of-concept development and feasibility assessments, ensuring proposed solutions meet customer and end-user needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role such as Solutions Consultant, Solutions Architect, or Sales Engineer at a global software enterprise.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to establish credibility with senior decision-makers.
  • Strong group-facilitation, customer-meeting leadership, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and API architecture.
  • Ability to understand and apply Stripe Connect, Payments, and Billing across diverse business models.
  • Understanding of how ERP, CRM, billing, tax, and legacy systems interact within platform technology ecosystems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple strategic customers.
  • Experience as a customer-facing payments domain expert presenting and architecting solutions for platform customers (preferred).
  • Experience driving technical sales for enterprise-scale platforms, integrating RESTful APIs, designing and deploying complex applications, or supporting cloud software adoption (preferred).
  • Independent, strategic, creative, collaborative, and adaptable approach to solving ambiguous customer challenges (preferred).
