Description

  • Own contract renewals and lead commercial negotiations to retain and grow existing customer revenue.
  • Develop and execute full-cycle sales strategies to drive product adoption, net new product sales, and client retention at scale.
  • Identify new opportunities for customers to get more value from Stripe’s offerings.
  • Solve complex client needs by partnering with product, sales, risk, and operations teams.
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through close for startups and small and medium-sized businesses.
  • Generate new leads through cold calling, blitzing, research, networking, and territory management.
  • Identify customer pain points and propose appropriate Stripe solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customers are set up for success.
  • Manage high-velocity deal cycles and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing or sales role.
  • Ability to understand complex technical ecosystems and build relationships with technical customers.
  • Experience driving and closing upsell opportunities in long-term, consultative engagements.
  • Analytical ability to manage complex pricing and cost considerations.
  • Experience managing projects with input from cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability and motivation to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a sales and/or customer-facing role at a high-growth technology company (preferred).
  • Experience with Excel and SQL, or a willingness to learn (preferred).
