Description

  • Directly manage and cultivate a named account list and build account plans to win and expand business with high-growth startups.
  • Prospect to businesses and articulate Stripe’s value in first-time adoption and expansion opportunities.
  • Understand customer pain points and propose tailored solutions that support long-term growth.
  • Guide clients through complex evaluations of Stripe’s SaaS platform solutions and lead projects through activation and adoption with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with Product, Risk, and Operations teams on new projects and shared initiatives.
  • Foster relationships with executive stakeholders and represent Stripe in the local startup ecosystem.
  • Drive internal efficiency and broader business impact through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Balance strategic, high-value deals with smaller, high-velocity deal cycles while owning your territory.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience in a client-facing or closing sales role.
  • Ability to understand complex technical ecosystems.
  • Experience building strong relationships, often with technical customers.
  • Analytical ability to manage complex sales cycles.
  • Agility and adaptability in highly ambiguous and fluid environments, including high-velocity deal cycles.
  • Bias toward team success and knowledge sharing.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Prior experience in a sales and/or customer-facing role at a high-growth technology company (preferred).
  • Prior experience working directly with or selling to startups (preferred).
  • Prior experience working directly with or selling to portfolio companies of VC funds (preferred).
  • Comfort interpreting and discussing API-first solutions (preferred).
