Description

  • Drive revenue and achieve sales targets.
  • Lead sales and upsell conversations with existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop strategic thought leadership within an assigned territory to support user success and revenue growth.
  • Understand Stripe’s sales process and competitive landscape, including software, hardware, and payments.
  • Serve as an internal and customer-facing expert on Stripe’s specialized products.
  • Synthesize customer feedback and share insights to inform Stripe’s product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and User Operations teams to support growth initiatives.
  • Build and execute go-to-market strategy in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead in-depth product discussions with customers and prospects.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of sales or prospecting experience at a technology company with a track record of top performance.
  • Experience owning a direct sales quota.
  • Direct sales experience closing new business and expanding existing users.
  • Strong ability to build collaborative relationships with business partners.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and succeed in an unstructured, fast-moving environment.
  • Proven self-starter who can drive business results with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, especially for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements.
  • Ability to understand complex technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience selling financial services or similar software (preferred).
  • Experience selling billing solutions (preferred).
  • Proven ability to sell in a fast-paced environment (preferred).
