Description

  • Engage directly with customers to understand mission needs, requirements, and national security objectives.
  • Design and apply signal processing, machine learning, and algorithmic methods to radar and RF sensing and counter-sensing problems.
  • Develop signal detection, classification, autonomous sensor planning, and radar electronic warfare capabilities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build, demonstrate, and optimize over-the-air prototype systems.
  • Lead and inspire multidisciplinary research teams in developing innovative system capabilities.
  • Translate customer and system needs into subsystem requirements.
  • Support business development efforts and proposal writing.
  • Develop technical briefs tailored to subcontractors, senior executives, and customers.
  • Work with mission partners to apply research and technology for near-term impact.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • PhD, MS, or BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience on EW or radar programs.
  • Experience developing sensor system modes and advanced signal- and data-processing algorithms from mathematical or analytical derivation through testing and verification.
  • 2+ years of experience in two or more of the following: RF/radar signal processing, optimization, waveform design, electronic warfare, machine learning, adaptive signal processing, algorithm development, system modeling and simulation, or systems engineering.
  • Experience translating system capabilities into subsystem requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor technical briefs for different audiences.
  • Proficiency in one or more scientific or mathematical programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C/C++.
  • Strong mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred: Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated leadership of complex research, development, and engineering efforts.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Preferred: Experience with defense-sector radar and RF technologies for RF sensing and electronic warfare, including electronic attack, electronic protection, cognitive EW, and advanced ESM techniques.
  • Preferred: Experience with machine learning methods and tools such as PyTorch, Ray, TensorFlow, and MLflow.
  • Preferred: Experience translating mission needs into an end-to-end solution while working with decision-makers and customers.
  • Preferred: Ability to apply novel, innovative, and interdisciplinary approaches to challenging engineering problems.

Benefits

  • Full-time salary range of $206,000 to $284,000.
  • Compensation is determined by experience, education, training, key skills, security clearances, and market conditions.
