Description

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, implement, test, and analyze biotechnology solutions for health and national security problems.
  • Create innovative biotechnology solutions and characterize their performance using experimental and statistical analysis.
  • Conduct technical marketing to existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop technical proposals, including idea generation, writing, reviewing, and editing.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, co-contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Support business development through technical engagement with customers and partners.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • PhD or MS with 5+ years of relevant experience, or BS with 10+ years of relevant experience, in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience leading technical teams on advanced R&D programs such as DARPA, IARPA, DTRA, NIH, AFRL, ONR, or ARL projects.
  • Experience developing biotechnologies for diverse applications with broad knowledge across scientific disciplines.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in technical marketing and business development.
  • Proven track record of writing and winning technical proposals.
  • Experience in one or more biology domains such as molecular biology, microbiology, synthetic biology, bioinformatics, biomanufacturing, or biosecurity (preferred).
  • Familiarity with transcriptomics, metabolomics, proteomics, AI/ML applications to biology, or laboratory automation (preferred).
