Description

  • Participate in initiatives that satisfy compliance, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Design, build, and implement data platform capabilities with engineering peers and architects.
  • Develop automations and tool configurations that support agile delivery and secure platform consumption.
  • Design and implement processes and tools that enable product engineering and BI/analytics teams to use a scalable, extensible data platform.
  • Provide best-practice guidance to ensure security, resiliency, and availability of platform solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by offering practical technical input and building cross-functional partnerships.
  • Support the use and delivery of data platform services across the organization.
  • Maintain existing and future software service code and configuration.
  • Recommend improvements to current architecture and help implement new technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to clients adopting the data platform.
  • Help implement and improve data pipelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with SQL and strong working knowledge of SQL required.
  • Understanding of data models preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational database design and programming, including stored procedures, functions, and PL/pgSQL.
  • Experience with managing AWS data infrastructure such as S3, RDS, Managed Streaming Kafka, Lake Formation, Glue, Glue Data Catalog, Athena, Quicksight, and DataZone.
  • Experience with systems engineering and/or software development using Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Experience with modern API platform design, security practices, and data architectures such as event-driven architecture, change data capture, and pub/sub.
  • Experience with cloud solution design patterns such as CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, containers, microservices, and distributed caching preferred.
  • Experience with Terraform scripting preferred.
  • Experience with third-party data integrations such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, and Pendo preferred.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch, and OpenTelemetry preferred.
  • Experience with ETL processes and tooling such as Boomi preferred.
  • Understanding of systems hardening and secure systems configuration preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance standards such as HIPAA, PCI, SEC, and FINRA preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred.
  • Understanding of Agile/Kanban methodologies preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Must be available to work standard business hours and occasional nights/weekends.
  • Travel to the Denver headquarters up to three times per year is required.
