Description

  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL.
  • Develop reusable datasets for analytics, reporting, and business operations.
  • Work with batch and streaming pipelines on AWS-based infrastructure.
  • Translate data requirements from analysts, engineers, and business teams into technical solutions.
  • Support data transformations, modelling, ingestion, and integrations across relational and non-relational sources.
  • Implement data quality checks, validation, monitoring, observability, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline and dataset issues and support production reliability.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the data platform, architecture, and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience building or maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Understanding of incremental processing, data quality, schema changes, and pipeline reliability.
  • Comfort working with Git and Unix/Linux environments.
  • Good problem-solving and debugging skills, with willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Preferred experience with Spark/PySpark, Kafka, Debezium, Airflow, Airbyte, dbt, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, or data quality and observability tools.
  • Preferred familiarity with data lake/lakehouse architectures, open table formats, analytical platforms, or BI tools.
