Description

  • Build, scale, deploy, and monitor backend platform services using technologies including Java, Python, MySQL, NSQ, HBase, AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • Partner with product managers, designers, UX developers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver features.
  • Design, maintain, and improve distributed systems handling millions of requests and messages daily.
  • Participate in technical design, architecture, planning, estimation, and quarterly goal-setting activities.
  • Monitor production services, respond to outages and bugs, and improve system reliability and availability.
  • Identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks, develop improvement plans, and deliver changes to production.
  • Improve engineering processes, systems, tools, testing, monitoring, and Agile practices.
  • Lead projects by prototyping, writing design documents, coordinating dependencies, and owning technical domains.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical feedback, knowledge sharing, presentations, and workshops.
  • Partner with Infrastructure teams to improve the delivery of reliable, highly available services.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience developing and supporting software in production environments.
  • At least 3 years of experience programming in object-oriented languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing and supporting scalable, distributed backend services (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (preferred).
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken Polish (preferred).
  • Experience with technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, MySQL, HBase, and NSQ is relevant to the role.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, communicate transparently, and mentor other engineers.

Benefits

  • Hiring range of 24,300–30,400 PLN net monthly; full base pay range of 24,300–36,500 PLN monthly.
  • Eligibility for Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
