Description

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services that support fulfillment operations, including inventory management, order processing, carrier integrations, and exception handling.
  • Own the reliability and correctness of transactional systems used by fulfillment center operations.
  • Lead technical design within the team pod, including architecture decisions and engineering patterns.
  • Participate in and uphold a high standard for code reviews.
  • Identify and resolve systemic issues such as performance bottlenecks, data consistency gaps, and fragile integrations.
  • Debug and resolve production issues quickly while communicating clearly with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product managers and fulfillment center operations teams to translate operational needs into software solutions.
  • Mentor Software Engineer II engineers and help improve overall engineering quality.
  • Work alongside downstream machine learning pipeline teams as needed.
  • Contribute to a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus.
  • Deep proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
  • Ability to design, build, and maintain production services independently and guide others doing the same.
  • Familiarity with downstream ML pipelines and related tools such as Python, dbt, and Dagster.
  • Experience working with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with AWS, including EKS, S3, SQS, and EventBridge.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments, especially GitLab pipelines.
  • Experience with AI tooling such as Claude Code for development workflows.
  • Experience with Android mobile development is preferred.
  • College degree is not required; non-linear career paths are welcome.
