Description

  • Collaborate with an autonomous engineering squad responsible for delegated authorization and session management platforms.
  • Design, build, and evolve critical infrastructure using shared C++ libraries and native Swift on iOS.
  • Develop secure and performant authorization flows, including token issuance, refresh, revocation, and session lifecycle management.
  • Partner with client and backend engineers to integrate core authorization services, client registration, and token revocation.
  • Improve secure on-device storage and management of credentials and access tokens.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Spotify’s authorization frameworks and Spotify-specific implementations.
  • Drive technical improvements, share knowledge, and help shape long-term technical direction.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in C++.
  • Experience building native iOS applications in Swift, or strong interest in developing Swift expertise.
  • Experience designing, building, or maintaining security-sensitive systems such as authorization, authentication, token management, or credential storage.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, secure system design, and modern authorization protocols such as OAuth 2.0.
  • Systems-thinking mindset with the ability to solve complex engineering challenges across client and backend technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Clear communication skills and experience collaborating across multiple teams and technical disciplines.
  • Experience working with shared cross-platform codebases and common C++ libraries.
  • Interest in large-scale distributed systems supporting hundreds of millions of users.
