Description

  • Lead end-to-end launch strategies for new fulfillment centers and major retrofits.
  • Own multi-million-dollar capital expenditure budgets and drive aggressive project timelines.
  • Negotiate with automation vendors and general contractors to support facility deployment.
  • Define network-wide standards for storage capacity, vertical space utilization, and layout engineering.
  • Integrate advanced automation solutions such as AS/RS, robotics, and conveyor systems.
  • Lead layout redesigns using CAD/SketchUp modeling and predictive data analytics.
  • Build engineering metrics, throughput models, and Power BI/SQL reporting frameworks.
  • Translate operational data into executive-ready recommendations for infrastructure investments.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison across executive leadership, operations, tech teams, and vendors.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service-level agreements, and cross-functional alignment to reduce deployment risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, fulfillment network planning, or large-scale logistics program management.
  • Proven experience scoping, budgeting, and deploying $5M+ greenfield or automation-heavy brownfield capital projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SketchUp for facility layout design.
  • Expert-level data extraction and modeling skills with SQL, Power BI, Python, or discrete event simulation tools such as FlexSim.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and manage high-performing project teams.
  • Experience navigating complex, ambiguous cross-functional environments.
  • College degrees are not required, and candidates with non-linear career paths are encouraged to apply.
  • Residency in one of the eligible Work Your Way states is required for remote flexibility.
  • Experience with fulfillment network optimization or automation deployment is preferred.
