Description

  • Provision complete infrastructure stacks for new product launches, including Kubernetes, data stores, networking, and observability components.
  • Lead Kubernetes platform evolution, including cluster upgrades, add-on lifecycle management, pod identity migration, and namespace management across all environments.
  • Design secure, scalable platform abstractions that reduce infrastructure complexity and define reusable golden paths for other teams.
  • Own authentication infrastructure for internal and external products, including SSO, identity federation, AWS IAM, and EKS Pod Identity.
  • Drive zero-trust infrastructure patterns, including credential rotation, Istio authorization policies, and network isolation.
  • Enable LLM-powered engineering workflows that improve team velocity while maintaining governance.
  • Manage production EKS environments directly rather than relying on managed external clusters.
  • Author Terraform modules for team-wide reuse.
  • Support on-call operations as part of the rotation, currently about one week out of every four.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience in production cloud environments.
  • Production EKS ownership experience, including cluster management, Karpenter, IRSA/Pod Identity, and version upgrades.
  • Experience authoring Terraform modules for broader team use.
  • Hands-on experience across the AWS stack, including VPC, RDS with IAM authentication, ElastiCache, ALB, Route53, ACM, and IAM policy design.
  • Service mesh operational experience, preferably with Istio; Linkerd or Envoy is also acceptable.
  • Experience with authentication and identity systems such as Auth0 SSO, Azure AD/Entra, AWS IAM, EKS Pod Identity, and OIDC federation is preferred.
  • Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • College degree is not required.
  • Non-linear career paths are welcome.
