Description

  • Audit and validate Event Services hours by cross-checking logged time against delivery evidence.
  • Review, book, and validate Event Services invoices before payment.
  • Manage travel bookings and review related expenses for policy compliance and cost efficiency.
  • Act as the first line of Finance control by identifying discrepancies and following up to resolve issues.
  • Support month-end activities related to Event Services costs.
  • Improve validation rules, documentation, and operational processes over time.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Event Services, and external suppliers to clarify and challenge questionable data.
  • Maintain clean, compliant records for hours, invoices, expenses, and payments.

Requirements

  • Experience in finance operations such as AP, junior accounting, or billing analysis, or similar exposure.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies in data.
  • Ability to challenge constructively and ask difficult questions in a calm, factual, and respectful way.
  • Strong sense of ethics, fairness, and good judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and accountable for following issues through to resolution.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience with time tracking, invoices, expenses, or operational finance processes, even in an internship or junior role.
  • Familiarity with Xero, ApprovalMax, Salesforce, Mavenlink, and Expensify is expected.
  • Maturity and confidence, even at a junior level.
