Description

  • Set the multi-cycle product strategy and roadmap for Search Personalization, including ranking, relevance, retrieval, AI features, quality, and trust.
  • Lead the evolution toward AI-native search experiences, including AI Overviews, semantic search, and LLM reranking.
  • Define and maintain a measurable framework for search relevance, trust, compliance, and user experience.
  • Manage Search as a shared platform across company strategies by establishing prioritization frameworks and communicating trade-offs.
  • Represent Search in executive forums and align stakeholders across teams and content verticals.
  • Lead two Search squads focused on results ranking and query suggestions.
  • Partner with engineering leadership on architectural decisions and long-term search infrastructure health.
  • Mentor and develop junior product managers and influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years leading search, discovery, or information retrieval products at 100M+ user scale.
  • Deep technical understanding of ranking architectures, retrieval strategies, evaluation methodologies, relevance, latency, cost, and freshness trade-offs.
  • Experience with AI/ML-powered search features such as semantic search, LLM reranking, or recommendations.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and developing prioritization frameworks.
  • Ability to set portfolio-level strategy and communicate vision clearly to executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, including translating technical complexity into compelling narratives.
  • Experience mentoring and developing early-career product managers.
  • Familiarity with music, audio, or media technology and content-rich platforms.
  • Experience operating Search as a platform for multiple internal teams or content verticals.
  • Experience with content integrity, trust and safety, or regulatory compliance in search or discovery systems.
