Description

  • Own revenue targets across new business, expansion, and retention for the SOE product portfolio.
  • Lead, coach, and grow a distributed sales team including Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Customer Support.
  • Define and execute a sales strategy focused on engineering leaders, platform teams, and developer experience buyers.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to align on pipeline generation, messaging, and go-to-market activities.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to represent customer needs and influence product roadmap priorities.
  • Build deep product expertise in Backstage Portal and Confidence and translate technical value into clear customer outcomes.
  • Establish forecasting discipline and maintain a healthy, predictable sales pipeline.
  • Track and improve key sales metrics such as pipeline coverage, conversion rates, time to close, and net revenue retention.
  • Design scalable sales processes, onboarding programs, and playbooks to support business growth.
  • Represent Spotify externally at industry events, conferences, and key customer engagements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, including 3+ years leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience selling to R&D, engineering, platform teams, or developer experience buyers and engaging with CTOs and engineering leaders.
  • Experience working alongside Sales Engineering and valuing technical depth in complex sales.
  • Experience owning or partnering closely with Customer Support or Customer Success as part of revenue strategy.
  • Data-driven approach with experience using metrics to guide forecasting and performance decisions.
  • Ability to build structure and scalable processes from the ground up without adding unnecessary complexity.
  • Comfort with educating the market and selling innovative, technically-oriented products.
  • Interest in and understanding of how AI is transforming software development and how to connect that to customer value.
  • Based in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone and able to attend some in-person meetings as needed.

  • United States base salary range: $242,533–$346,475 USD, plus equity.
