Description

  • Own major app features and deliver high-quality releases in collaboration with the design team.
  • Shape the future of the Android team through technical leadership and strong execution.
  • Maintain and improve reliability metrics for key product features.
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
  • Review pull requests and support teammates through code collaboration and feedback.
  • Handle critical issues and unexpected technical challenges.
  • Own feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components.
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Product design intuition and user empathy.
  • Ability to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of testing practices and how to write tests effectively.
  • Self-driven mindset to improve the app and codebase beyond the spec.
  • Strong experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • User-oriented problem-solving approach.
  • Open-source Android experience is a bonus.
  • Experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS is a bonus.
  • Portfolio and LinkedIn links are requested when applying.
