Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and deliver solutions through the cross-platform SDK.
  • Reduce project scope where possible to accelerate customer feedback and iteration.
  • Navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across different product teams.
  • Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms to optimize existing functionality.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that support Speechify’s product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Senior Software Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Systems thinking with an emphasis on end-to-end design and simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Comfort working in a high-growth, remote startup environment with a need for focus and independent execution.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable, but the role is primarily Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
  • Ability to provide links to a portfolio and LinkedIn when applying.
